About Me.

Aloha! My name is Desirae. The Hawaiian greeting comes from my roots - I was born and raised in Hilo, Hawaii. If you see me using pidgin in some of my posts, I literally just can't help it. How did a local Hawaiian girl get transplanted to Utah, you ask? Well, after graduating high school I got accepted to Brigham Young University. There, I studied English where I graduated with a Bachelor's degree. It was there that I also met my husband Kurtis. We started out as "just friends" until a group of my friends organized a Murder Mystery Night and I needed a date! I knew just who to ask. After that date, the two of us were inseparable. We got married eight months later and have been madly in love ever since. Around our one year anniversary we found out we were expecting - not just expecting, but expecting twins! We were blessed with two identical twin girls in 2014. Here's a bit about the rest of our crazy little family!

KURT | Hottie, Drummer, IT Guy

Here he is, ladies! The man of my dreams. Before I met Kurt he was an amazing drummer and was always wooing the girls with his skills. He grew up in Utah and has lived here his whole life, except for two years when he was called to serve as a Full-time Missionary for our Church in the Geneva-Switzerland mission. There, he learned to speak French (which added tremendously to his wooing skills) and had the time of his life serving the people of France and Switzerland. He is finishing up his degree in Information Technology at BYU. He is an amazing father to our two girls
while also balancing school and work.

ARIA | Baby Model, Diva, Ultimate Kisser

This little girl is our diva. She is the most rambunctious baby ever! She loves attention and loves to flirt and bat her pretty lashes at anyone and everyone. Aria was born first, meaning she was Baby A. She was born at 5 lbs 6 oz when I was 36 weeks pregnant. When we saw her on the ultrasound, her long and luscious hair stood out. We also loved seeing those gorgeous big lips that she loves to kiss us with! She is such an affectionate baby. She is also one of the biggest fake criers ever. If she wants to be held, she'll fake cry her way into your arms. But man, do we love her!

CADENCE | Fearless Leader, Laid-back Lady, 
Selective Smiler

Cadence is our laid-back lady. She hardly ever cries. If she falls down, she doesn't notice. Her sister could be screaming her head off and Cadence will look at her like, "What's your problem?" She is also fearless. When the girls first met Santa Claus, Aria screamed like bloody murder while Cadence smiled and cozied up to the big guy. Cadence was Baby B and was born just 20 seconds after Aria. She weighed 5 lbs 2 oz and when she was inside me she was constantly moving all over the place! I think she ended up transverse by the end. Although she is very mellow, it also makes her a selective smiler. If you're lucky enough to get a Cadence Smile,
